‘Ik kom iedere dag maar een uur eerder.’
Hij kijkt wat verlegen.
‘Dit is toch een ziekenhuis?’
Al vier jaar werkt hij als schoonmaker in een academisch ziekenhuis. Vier maanden geleden werd de schoonmaakploeg weer kleiner en werden er nog wat seconden van zijn tijdschema afgeknabbeld. Na een week besloot hij om dan maar een uurtje eerder te komen.
‘Sommige collega’s vinden me een uitslover.’
Hij haalt zijn schouders op.
‘Maar dit is een ziekenhuis’, herhaalt ie.
