De man wijst me vriendelijk de weg.
‘Het is nog wel een eindje’, vertelt hij, ‘als u bij de Stadsschouwburg bent, moet u maar verder vragen.’
Daarna zegt hij: ‘Maar het is ook een mooie dag om te verdwalen.’
En zo is het. De zon schijnt vandaag in Utrecht. De stad ziet er vriendelijk uit.

Aan het begin van de Biltstraat sta ik even rond te kijken. Ik pak mijn telefoon om Google maps te bekijken.
‘Zal ik uw reddende engel zijn?’
Ik kijk op.
Lachend kijkt ze naar me. Donkere ogen, vrolijke krullen.
Ik noem de straatnaam.
‘Dat is hier om de hoek’, zegt ze.
Als ik het straatje inloop, ligt er ook nog een vrolijk plaatje op de stoep.
Wat een stad.
