8 maart 2008. PVV-Kamerlid Brinkman noemde de Antillen een corrupt boevennest en vanaf dat moment bleven de deuren op het eiland voor Nederlandse Kamerleden gesloten.

Maar ook premier Balkenende uitte in januari bij zijn bezoek aan Sint-Maarten kritiek op drugshandel en witwaspraktijken. Het is hard aangekomen op het eiland.

In deel drie van de serie over de Antillen brengt NOVA een bezoek aan Sint-Maarten en Bonaire. Op beide eilanden worden bij verkiezingen openlijk stemmen gekocht. NOVA ging op onderzoek en sprak met bewoners en politici.
